FLAVOR OF MITCHELLVILLE

The Chamber hosts a Flavor of Mitchellville each spring. For 2008, it was Thursday April 10th from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Community Center.  Member businesses and community organizations each set up a booth with information about their organization and also offer a free sampling of a food or beverage item.  Attendee's walked from booth to booth and sampled the items served.  If you have attended the Altoona Chamber's Taste of Altoona then this is based on the same concept.  Cost was $5 per person at the door and included free beverages provided by the chamber.  Children under 5 were admitted free.

This year, the Mitchellville Lions Club also did free vision screening for pre school age children during the event.
